#RAREUSDT is still number one, but the second confirmation failed

I care more about the hourly close than the eye-catching number of +66.9% over 24 hours; given the current structure, I’m observing for now. In the full leaderboard before the 20:11 update, RARE is still first on Binance USD-M USDT perpetuals, with a rolling 24-hour trading volume of about $268 million. The complete contract candlestick from 19:00 to 20:00 surged intraday to 0.02436, but the close slipped back to 0.02278; the prior hour closed at 0.02375. The confirmation level of 0.02314 provided earlier was tested again, and this time it was lost once more.

Spot also closed in a similar area: Binance RARE/USDT spot from 19:00 to 20:00 closed at 0.02303, also below 0.02314. This means that both spot and perpetuals in this hour failed to hold that key observation level, but it can’t tell us who the sellers are, nor can we determine a trend reversal based on just one hour.

The U-margined trading value for this pullback candle is about $33.83 million, higher than the previous hour’s roughly $26.64 million. The OI hourly snapshot rose from 379.1 million at 18:00 to 434.9 million at 19:00, an increase of about 14.7%. Price falling alongside rising open interest implies that the contract risk exposure expanded; OI measures the number of open contracts and does not necessarily mean net inflow or the addition of new shorts.

The four-hour funding rate settled at 20:00 was -0.727%, meaning the short side pays the long side for that period, reflecting that the contract positioning is skewed—but it doesn’t guarantee an immediate short squeeze or rebound. The long/short ratio on accounts dropped from 0.95 to 0.85. This is based on the number of accounts, not the size of long/short positions. Both indicators suggest this round of trading is getting more crowded, but they cannot confirm the price direction.

SuperRare defines $RARE as a governance and curation token. In this round, no new announcements were found that could explain the high and then the pullback, so the old news isn’t treated as a catalyst being carried forward. Next, only two things matter: whether subsequent full hours can reclaim 0.02314; if weakness continues, the 0.02150 level from the earlier post remains the risk observation point. The new candles after 20:00 have not finished forming and won’t be included in the assessment. Being number one is just ranking—until it’s reconfirmed, the upside move isn’t taken as evidence of continuation. #RARE #SuperRare
