U.S. 30-year Treasury yields break above 5.5%; it hurts by the textbook Nasdaq logic. Then in a week the Nasdaq rose another 2%, while Meta and Intel each jumped 13%.

After writing code for ten years, I’m most afraid of this kind of bug—"the input is correct, but the output is wrong." But the market isn’t code; it doesn’t have unit tests. You can never tell whether it’s a logic error or just that the timing hasn’t come yet.

At least I understood another piece of news: in seven years, Anthropic poured $11.6 billion into Akamai—buying CPUs. At the compute-demand layer, it basically doesn’t care what the interest rates are.

So now, spend less time looking at interest rates for decisions, and focus more on where the money finally ends up.
