Solana's planned Alpenglow upgrade has reached its second public test network and is targeting roughly 150 milliseconds for transaction finality. According to NS3.AI, the current system takes about 12.8 seconds to reach finality.

The mainnet launch has not been scheduled. The speed target has yet to be sustained under live-market conditions.
