$📊 FUNDING RATE Not price—see the market’s POSITIONING!

On Perpetual Futures, the Funding Rate is the periodic payment between Long and Short traders.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🟢 POSITIVE FUNDING Longs ➜ Pay ➜ Shorts

Meaning: Long positioning in the market may be relatively higher.

🔴 NEGATIVE FUNDING Shorts ➜ Pay ➜ Longs

Meaning: Short positioning in the market may be relatively higher.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

💡 An important point:

Funding Rate itself is not a “BUY” or “SELL” signal.

It mainly shows which direction the Futures market’s positioning is leaning toward.

For stronger analysis, you can look at Funding Rate + Open Interest + Price together.

📌 Example:

Price ↑ + OI ↑ → may indicate new positions are being added

Price ↑ + Funding is very high → Long positioning may be more crowded

Price ↓ + Negative Funding → Short positioning may be higher

⚠️ These are possible market contexts—not guaranteed price predictions.

🧠 Remember:

“Price tells you WHAT happened. Funding tells you WHO is paying. OI tells you HOW MANY positions remain open.”
