Over the past month, the DeFi sector has seen tremendous growth, and even some tokens have risen more than 200%.
We’ve talked about a certain logic repeatedly: more than $300 billion in stablecoins are sitting on-chain—about 10 times more than before the 2021 bull market. Such a huge amount of capital won’t remain idle forever. Over the past few years, DeFi has continued to search for its true value throughout the long bear market—lending, trading, stablecoins, derivatives, RWA. The entire on-chain financial system has been expanding nonstop.
So, Bitcoin reaching $120,000 isn’t because “Bitcoin is how bullish.” It’s because the entire crypto ecosystem is much larger than it was in the past.
What’s truly worth thinking about has never been: “When will Bitcoin reach $1,000,000?”
Instead, it’s: “If Bitcoin really is worth $1,000,000, what kind of massive crypto economy would be needed to support it?”
If an investor only focuses on whether Bitcoin went up each day—when it will reach $1,000,000—and keeps repeating “Bitcoin is awesome” without researching the expansion of stablecoins, DeFi, RWA, DEXs, payments/settlement, and on-chain finance…
That’s just staring at a number.
