【UNI This pump has the old bagholders a bit uneasy】
I’ve been watching the $10 level for a long time. Back at the start of the year it was still hovering around $6+, and nobody mentioned it—now it suddenly jumped to 9.5. The move is intense. But the one thing I want to know most is this: who’s buying? And what are they buying it for?
You say DeFi has been “cold” for two years. UNI’s TVL hasn’t really seen a big breakout, and daily active users haven’t shown a clear increase either. So is this 117% monthly surge driven by sentiment—or is there real money being placed?
My take is: someone is betting on a relaxation of regulation. The U.S. stance toward DeFi seems to be loosening. And the recent moves by Circle and Tether involving frozen addresses also suggest that big institutions are willing to step in and provide “compliance guarantees.” If this logic holds, then as core infrastructure for a leading DEX, UNI’s valuation really has been suppressed too hard.
But the problem is—
Can this logic actually play out? I’m stuck on that. Uniswap Labs’ revenue model mainly comes from fee sharing. But has actual earnings really kept up with the price? Are the tokens the team holds showing any movement? I haven’t seen any definite data on any of that. Pushing the price up purely on expectations of “maybe regulation will be loosened” isn’t impossible—but the danger with a move like this is that if the news cools even a bit, it’s the fastest way to turn things.
I acknowledge the $10.11 resistance. If the $8.87 support holds, then it’s fine. If it doesn’t, anyone who chases in will probably feel pretty bad.
Honestly, my hands are itching—but I didn’t buy this time. It’s not that I don’t believe in it. It’s that I don’t understand this stuff well enough to go heavy. After what taught me in 2017, I learned one thing: if you don’t understand the market, it’s better to miss the trade than to force it.
What’s everyone’s mindset right now? Are you brave enough to chase this move?
