According to Sina Finance, Bolivia's central bank said on its website that it has introduced new foreign-exchange rules removing the ceiling on financial institutions' dollar selling rate. The new rules abolish the previous limit that banks could charge no more than 0.10 bolivianos above the official exchange rate, and the central bank also changed how the official exchange rate is calculated. Foreign-exchange transactions between banks and the central bank will be included in the exchange-rate calculation, and the document said the new rules aim to further improve foreign-exchange market flexibility.
