【AVAX is up in a way that’s kinda interesting, but I didn’t dare jump in】
AVAX has surged again today—up nearly 30% over the past 7 days. Honestly, my first thought was, “Is this a trap?”
The pain from 2017 wasn’t about how much I lost—it was that kind of regret where you watch other people chase in and make money, you hold back, and then it actually pumps. Then in 2021 it flipped— I thought I was some kind of genius, but it was just that the market was good. This time I learned my lesson: the bigger the rise, the less I dare to move.
Look at the data: $ 10.62. It’s only a few cents away from that resistance at 10.94. Trading volume also expanded again today—24-hour volume is almost 5% of market cap. What does that mean? It means someone is buying, and it’s not the kind of volume that retail can stack up with little orders.
But I didn’t buy. Not because I don’t believe in it—because I’m afraid. Afraid of what? Not afraid that it’ll drop, but afraid I’ll commit another dumb mistake. In 2017, I watched it rise and couldn’t resist, then I got trapped for over a year. This time I told myself: if it keeps going up, let it. Since I didn’t enter, at least I won’t lose this time.
The FNG index is 74— the market is greedy, but not completely out of control, nothing like that old era of full-on FOMO. So what does that imply? It could mean this wave might not be finished yet. But it could also mean it’s a bull trap. Right now I’m stuck around 10.94: if it breaks through, I’ll admit I don’t understand; if it doesn’t, then I still don’t understand.
So I’m basically just watching and taking notes. My hands are itchy, sure—but I really haven’t moved.
What about you? Do you dare to chase this AVAX move? Or are you like me— the more it rises, the less you dare to act?
