An investment in Elon Musk’s SpaceX nearly a decade ago added more than $2 billion to Washington University’s endowment, helping drive a 37.3% return for the school, according to Bloomberg.

The stake turned a relatively small bet into one of the biggest contributors to Washington University’s investment gains this year.
