After a major breach targeted the Bitget platform, Circle and Tether moved to freeze the attacker’s wallet, but most of the stolen funds are still at $ETH and cannot be frozen.

The wallet listed on the blacklist contained around $318,000 worth of USDT and USDC, meaning the freeze covered only a small portion of the stolen funds.

Most of the funds are held in $ETH , an asset that is not subject to the authority of a centralized entity that can freeze it in the same way.
