The clearinghouse has selected Quant, but that doesn’t mean the bank on-chain clearing network is already up and running today.

Yesterday, the U.S. The Clearing House confirmed that Quant will provide interoperability, orchestration, and transaction management layers for tokenized deposit networks—enabling future connections to existing RTP and CHIPS systems. The vendor has been identified as a genuine step forward; however, the announcement states that the network is not expected to open to participating institutions until the first half of 2027.

So the buzz around $QNT in this round corresponds to the project entering the construction phase, and it can’t be directly counted as already realized bank transaction volume. Only after the clearinghouse publishes the official go-live, the participating institutions, and a continuously verifiable processing volume should this explanation be updated. Between the cooperation announcement and the business ramp-up, system integration still comes in between.
