Wu said he learned that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared the newly released Solidity compiler, oksolc. Developer Henri said this compiler is written in Zig, and can increase the compilation speed of some contracts by more than 5x while keeping the bytecode consistent. In its tests, the full build time dropped from about 10 minutes to 2 minutes, and after large changes, the incremental build time fell from about 700 seconds to 99 seconds.
