Breaking Its All-Time High This Year? Tom Lee Isn't Mincing Words.

Bit Mine chairman Tom Lee just dropped a bold call on Coinage: ETH can "absolutely" hit a new all-time high this year.

His logic isn't complicated:

Near term target is $3,000, and then well above $5,000 to follow. Keep in mind ETH's previous peak was around $4,800–5,000 back in 2021. What he's saying is clear that high isn't a ceiling, it's a signpost.

Here's the interesting part: he pointed out that ETH ran from $1,500 to $2,800 and the market was almost silent. He said he actually heard about a lot of big players losing serious money shorting that move. What does that tell you? Positioning hasn't caught up. A lot of people missed the boat.

So what's he betting on? Tokenization.

Robinhood put tokenized stocks on an Ethereum L2, and Lee says it's not about cutting costs it's because Ethereum is the safest and most liquid. In his words, Robinhood didn't pick Ethereum to fight over fees, they made that call after serious evaluation.

Add in the AI narrative he keeps pushing AI agents making high frequency micro payments in the future, where traditional payment rails with all their middlemen and fees just can't work. On-chain settlement is the answer.

Now to be fair: Lee is the chairman of Bit Mine and Bit Mine holds millions of ETH. He's one of the biggest stakeholders in this trade. How much of this is conviction and how much is his bag you decide.

But at least he's willing to say it plainly: $3,000 is reasonable near term $5,000+ is coming and a new all-time high this year is absolutely happening.

Believe it or not but the market definitely hasn't priced in his script yet.
