📊 A number many people overlook: In the past ~30 days, the Meme top basket is up +10%, compared with the Shan/Lean basket up +40%—a difference of 30 points.

According to recent CoinGecko data, over the past 30 days the Meme sector has only captured about $0.7 of the $1 move in the Shan/Lean market (using a 60-day window); meanwhile, BTC dominance is still around 58% at high levels, and the Altcoin Season Index is only in the low 30s (the Bitcoin season).

My take: This isn’t a Meme season—it’s a “selection market.” The tide didn’t lift all ships; money is highly concentrated in BTC and a few narratives. Memes are the downstream of this concentration. So the takeaway isn’t “just buy Memes.” Instead, you choose: projects with real-world hooks (PENGU), those with on-chain undercurrents (SHIB), and those with standalone narratives (e.g., AI-related PRL, up over 170% in the last 7 days) can survive. But pure hype-driven, low-liquidity ones (like certain cat-themed new Memes that saw a 20%+ pullback within a single week) will unwind quickly.

My view: the real Meme market window will only come when BTC stabilizes, dominance falls, and capital is willing to flow into higher-beta assets. Until then, quality > quantity.

Do you think this round is the “selection market” continuing—or is Meme season almost here?🤔
