Bitcoin is trading around $84,000–$84,400 today.
After breaking above $86k on September 21 and gaining +10% since the start of the month, the market has entered a consolidation phase. September is already one of the best in the entire history of observations.
What affects the price right now
1. ETF flows — the main bullish driver
On September 21, spot BTC ETFs pulled in nearly $1 billion in a single day (a 2026 record).
September 22—another $715 million.
This is pure institutional demand. Every major inflow supports the price above $80–82k and prevents a deep correction.
2. Strategy continues to accumulate
From September 14 to 20, another 950 BTC were bought. Total volume—846,000 BTC.
Whales and corporations are not selling into the rise—this is a strong signal for a bullish mid-term scenario.
3. Options expiration worth $16B (today)
Options worth about ~$16B are expiring on Deribit (of which $9.6B are calls).
Usually, this leads to short-term volatility. We’re watching the $83k level (support) and $86–87k (resistance).
4. Binance + Circle = stronger USDC
Binance invested $100 million in Circle and extended its partnership for USDC by 5 years.
More stablecoin liquidity on Binance → higher trading volumes → positive for the whole market and especially for BNB.
Technical picture
Nearest support: $82,800–$83,500
Resistance: $86,000–$87,300
As long as BTC stays above the 50-week moving average, the structure remains bullish.
Ethereum is around $2,650–2,675. The Glamsterdam upgrade + Sepolia testnet is being prepared for September 28. If BTC holds its levels, ETH may try to close the gap.
What to watch next:
• ETF flows
• Reaction to options expiration
• Trading volumes on Binance
The market is still in a state of “healthy hype” (Wintermute). A correction is possible, but big players keep accumulating.
