Analyst Darkfost said Bitcoin long-term holders are currently sitting on about 72% realized profit, which remains well below previous market peaks. According to ChainCatcher, he compared the figure with December 2024, when long-term holders' realized profit briefly approached 350%.
Darkfost said the current level suggests long-term holders are in a relatively mild profit-taking phase, similar to levels seen during the previous bear market. He added that most long-term holders may prefer to keep holding rather than take large profits at this stage.
