Just took a look at the data—there’s something to it.
$QI exploded this round, almost doubling fast. A 97.5% surge, and the price is only 0.0029U. That trading volume is 9.4 million. Honestly, for a small-cap coin to pump like this in a single day, 99% of the time the market maker/whales are controlling the action. I looked around and didn’t really see any proper positive news. Most likely it was the project team pulling it, or market makers doing wash trading/two-way trading.
For a coin like this, I won’t chase. It’s not that it can’t go up—it’s that if you enter like this, it’s basically handing over your head. You don’t know when the whale will dump. If they decide to, you could easily see a drop back by 50% in 30 seconds if you’re holding at the highs.
$NFP is even harsher—it just cut your ankles straight off, -65.85%. This kind of drop isn’t a normal pullback; someone is selling no matter the cost. Trading volume is only 3.8 million, but they dumped so much—meaning liquidity is extremely poor, and the depth can’t absorb it. At a spot like this, I also wouldn’t bottom-fish. You think it’s a floor price, but there might be a basement. For coins that “flash-crash” like this, they usually need to wait until the supply/demand is cleaned up—only then is there a chance of stabilizing. Entering now is basically helping someone catch flying knives.
BTC is holding around 84,000. Funding rate is 0.0044, which is a bit high—suggesting bullish sentiment is still there, but it may be overheated. There could be a pullback risk in the short term.
What do you think—are these small-cap movements an opportunity or a trap?
