According to Darkfost analysis, Bitcoin has risen by about 45% since its July peak, with several consecutive days closing above May’s high of $82,000; during this period, Binance’s weekly net outflows of Bitcoin were about 2,000 BTC, and it also recorded its largest single-day net outflow since 2023, exceeding 13,800 BTC and setting a three-year record. Within four days, Binance’s Bitcoin reserves fell from 705,000 to 685,000 BTC. Binance holds around 30% of the Bitcoin available on the platform that is usable by various investors. The dominance of net outflows suggests that some investors are choosing to hold Bitcoin themselves; a reduction in exchange-held Bitcoin would lower potential selling pressure. This change may be related to investors who previously expected Bitcoin to fall further buying back in.
