Stop-loss got hit. Last night I shorted $NFP, and when I woke up I was completely not okay.
This coin dumped straight from 0.0053 to 0.00181—an enormous 65% drop. My position was just gone. Honestly, I suspect it was a chain liquidation of contracts. For a coin with such a small market cap, liquidity is already poor. If the market maker just smashes a bit, longs are basically finished.
You want to call it a normal pullback? At 0.0053, that level was already inflated—just leftover heat from the previous hype. Can you still try to “catch” it now? I’d advise you to wait. Don’t grab the knife when it’s down 80%.
Now look at the other side—$QI ripped up 83% directly. It surged from 0.00147 to 0.002694 in one go. The 5.4 million volume isn’t huge, but it’s not small either. This kind of sudden pump with no news catalyst is probably the team/project themselves messing around. Either they’re coordinating with the exchange to pump it, or it’s a prelude before an ICO unlock and the sell-off. To the brothers who chased it in—good luck to you.
As for BTC, things are pretty stable. It’s been moving sideways around 84164, with the funding rate only 0.0032%. Both longs and shorts are being very restrained. When the majors aren’t moving, the wild swings in these smaller coins are even more like independent moves—whether you follow or not doesn’t really matter.
For this kind of extreme market, I usually treat it as if I didn’t see it. I’d rather miss the trade than get buried.
Did any of you hit these two mines? Let me see the casualties in the comments.
