The morning scoop is a bit big: the Bitget CEO personally admitted that about $350 million was taken from hot wallets and warm wallets, and withdrawals are temporarily halted. The official says the cold wallets are fine and user funds are safe, but every time I hear “your funds are safe,” I feel like quietly moving the coins back to my own wallet. $350 million, folks—it’s definitely not a small number.

$BTC didn’t collapse much this time, but the macro environment is really not friendly. Fed Chair Williams went full hawk, saying it’s reasonable to keep raising rates by year-end, and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield has surged to the highest level since 2007. With borrowing costs this high, who would still have the mood to chase high-risk assets?

Oil prices are also fanning the flames: Brent has jumped above $106, and the Houthi forces have again hit facilities of Saudi Aramco. With inflation pressure staring us down, any rate-cut expectations will only be pushed further away.

My stance hasn’t changed: surviving this phase matters more than making quick money. Keep the coins in your own pocket, keep enough position size for ammunition, and don’t go all-in with one reckless move.
