$BTC Consolidates above 84,600 and keeps shaking. The shorts were educated again today.

Let’s focus on two extremes: $QI literally doubled directly—up 100%. That move is kind of ridiculous. At 0.0029, there was suddenly a massive spike of 4.2 million dollars in volume. Either there’s no news, or it’s the market maker’s own hype. Can you ask me whether you should chase this coin? I can only say: if you chase it in, you’re basically just serving yourself to them. When it pumps this hard, it can dump at any moment—you won’t even have time to place a stop-loss.

NFP is the opposite: down 65%, to 0.00181. This drop isn’t really a pullback anymore—it’s like getting cut in half, and then cut in half again. Trading volume was 3.8 million dollars, which suggests someone is clearly running for the exit. Either the project is in trouble, or it’s being targeted by a short attack. That said, falling this hard could mean it’s oversold. But bottom-fishing? Are you sure there’s still a bottom under it?

BTC’s funding rate is still positive at 0.003. The BTC market is holding steady, which suggests this altcoin spike is just an issue with a few individual projects.

My take: don’t touch $QI like that—it’s a trap, not an opportunity. For the ones that dumped hard, you’ll need to see whether they can actually stabilize. If they can’t, it’s a bottomless pit. As long as the broader market hasn’t crashed, you can try a small position for the possibility of an oversold rebound—but set your stop-loss and don’t get emotionally stuck fighting it.

Do you think this kind of altcoin anomaly is the market maker’s final bait before distributing, or is there actually a positive catalyst?
