Citi said Goertek and Sunny Optical were the main beneficiaries of the VR glasses and other new products unveiled at Meta Connect. According to Sina Finance, analysts including Kyna Wong wrote in a research note that the new Meta VR glasses are likely to ship in limited volumes because of their relatively high pricing. Goertek will continue to increase its share in Meta AI glasses business, while the new VR glasses are expected to offset the decline in its traditional VR headset business. Sunny Optical will benefit from both AI glasses and the new VR glasses. When Meta launches the Ray-Ban Display 2 in early next year, Sunny Optical, Conant Optical, and Omnivision will see larger business gains. Citi said Meta unveiled the third-generation Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, Meta audio glasses, and Meta VR glasses at the 2026 Meta Connect conference, with the products featuring the latest AI functions such as Muse.
