🌅【Overnight Market Recap|September 25】
Good morning, Crypto!
Last night, BTC didn’t keep breaking above $87K, instead it traded in a **$83K–$84K range**.
Today’s biggest market event:
🔥 Quarterly BTC + ETH options expiration
📉 ① BTC: three key levels
BTC previously briefly touched about **$87.3K**, then pulled back, with a low around $83.3K.
Right now, the focus is:
$83K: short-term support
$84K: key confirmation level
$87K: prior high resistance
In short:
Hold $83K → the ranging structure remains
Reclaim $84K → the short-term structure improves
Break above $87K → the prior high gets challenged again
Meanwhile, U.S. Treasury yields are still elevated, which puts some pressure on risk assets.
💰 ② ETF flows still in inflow
On September 23, U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw net inflows of about **$347M**; previously on September 21 and 22, inflows were roughly $999M and $714.7M, respectively.
So that means:
BTC pulled back from $87K, but ETF capital hasn’t clearly retreated.
Today we’ll need to keep watching whether spot inflows can continue to absorb.
🧨 ③ Biggest event today: quarterly options expiration
Today is September 25, the quarterly options settlement day.
Market data currently shows that the total notional value of BTC+ETH expiring contracts is around **$17B–$18B**, with BTC making up most of it.
Note:
$17B doesn’t mean $17B of funds will directly buy and sell BTC today.
What’s more worth watching are:
👉 Changes in hedged positions
👉 Changes in OI
👉 Changes in implied volatility
👉 New positioning after expiration
So today is more like a day of repricing volatility and positioning.
⚠️ ④ Key points for today
① Can $83K hold
② Can $84K reclaim and stabilize
③ Can $87K be tested again
④ Can ETF inflows continue
⑤ After options expiration, how OI and volatility change
🧠 One line for today:
Don’t just ask whether BTC will go up or down—what matters more is: after options settlement, who will take over the market again.
📌 Key path:
$83K → $84K → $87K
Also watch: ETF flows + OI + U.S. Treasury yields + new positioning after options expiry
👇 Which level are you watching most today?
$83K / $84K / $87K?
