According to Sina Finance, BHP Group said it is assessing conditions and studying a phased resumption of mining operations at its Escondida copper mine project in Chile after a worker died in an accident on Wednesday. In a statement, the company said mining operations were suspended after the accident, while some non-mining areas at the site continued related work at reduced capacity. BHP said it will review staffing, operational readiness, risk controls, and regulatory approval requirements before restarting production.
