🌅 Morning pre-market check: the exchange is leaking on one side, and on the other, it opens the door to welcome the new year

🚨 Bearish signals: Bitget hot wallet + warm wallet stolen about $351.6 million (CEO Gracy Chen confirmed); the New York prosecutor has officially indicted Polymarket, calling its operation an "illegal gambling business". The trust premium is being repriced.

🔥 Bullish signals: Binance announced the listing of Hyperliquid (HYPE) and applied seed tags, with a market cap of about $23.4 billion; meanwhile, the shorts are in despair—on Square, a high-engagement post screams "After BTC breaks below 85,000, the ultimate fake breakout arrives".

📊 Numbers speak (before 09:00 Beijing time):
· BTC at $84,437, roughly flat day-on-day. Yesterday’s high $84,942 vs. low $82,875—85k psychological level lost and retaken
· Alts are actually stronger: SOL +1.7% to $117, XRP +2.3% to $1.536, DOGE +3.4%
· Macro driver: Brent crude closed at $106.60/bbl (+3.41%). US-Iran negotiations seek to restart the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz; the Senate voted 50-49 to reject a proposal to limit the use of force against Iran

💡 My take: BTC is range-bound + alts broadly rise + oil stays elevated = money is betting on "geopolitical easing". But the exchange security incident shows that the on-chain trust chain hasn’t been repaired. Today, the key is whether BTC can reclaim 85,000. If it can’t, support at 82,800 will be tested again; if it does, then the alt rebound can be called a rebound.

❓ Pre-market poll: where are you placing your bet this week?
A. BTC reclaims 85,000 and lifts everyone
B. Fake breakout, then pullback to 82,000
C. No big bet on BTC—wait for alts to catch up

The above does not constitute investment advice.
