#Ondo control-rights lawsuit
A year after the founder’s death, the company is still fighting over who’s in charge.
Nathan Allman passed away on May 25 this year without leaving a will. Control of the company and a large amount of $ONDO tokens entered the estate process. In August, the estate filed a lawsuit against the acting CEO, Ian De Bode, alleging that he attempted to unlawfully seize control of the company and its funds. Under the current court order, De Bode may continue to handle day-to-day operations, but may not make major changes before the dispute is resolved.
For token holders, what really matters isn’t the price, but which side—the estate or the acting CEO—gains actual disposition rights over the treasury and the tokens first. Until there is a final ruling in this lawsuit, any rumors about selling can only be considered unconfirmed.
