Ondo Finance’s real-world asset tokenization platform was recommended to potential buyers after the death of its founder and CEO Nathan Allman on May 25. Allman died at 32 without leaving a will; his estate was transferred to his parents following the probate process. In early August, representatives of Allman’s estate filed a lawsuit against interim CEO Ian De Bode, accusing him of unlawfully taking control of the company and its funds. An Ondo spokesperson denied that the company had ever sought buyers, saying that the sale allegations are “completely false” and that no one had encouraged, negotiated with, or asked third parties to pursue any sale. Founded in 2021 by former Goldman Sachs executives, Ondo manages more than $3.8 billion in tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds and tokenized equities.
