BITCOIN WHALES POUR IN $171M — SEEING OPPORTUNITY IN THE DROP
$BTC

Despite the market downturn, Bitcoin whales have shown unwavering confidence by adding long positions worth $171 million within just four hours as BTC dropped below $84,000. This suggests large investors view this dip as a buying opportunity.

Santiment data shows that wallets holding 100–1,000 BTC have accumulated 113,950 BTC since July 15, increasing their collective holdings by 2.22% to approximately 5.24 million BTC, which represents about 26% of the total BTC supply. This accumulation behavior began before the recent rally from $60,000, indicating strong institutional support for the price trend.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs have continued to attract capital for five consecutive days, adding more than $2.5 billion over that period, with September 21 being the strongest day with nearly $1 billion in new inflows. Additionally, the amount of BTC remaining on exchanges has dropped to a four-month low of approximately 2.7 million, a sign that investors are moving coins to self-custody, reducing immediate sell pressure.

Do you think whales know something the broader market doesn't, or is this a long-term accumulation strategy?
