Natural gas forward contracts rose during the European session on Thursday.
According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, trading in October natural gas futures was at USD3.06 per million British thermal units at the time of writing, up 1.12%.
The contract had previously been traded at USD3.08 per million British thermal units. Natural gas may find support at USD2.817 and resistance at USD3.076.
Dollar index futures, which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.12% to trade at USD100.94.
Meanwhile on NYMEX, the price of crude oil for November rose 1.71% to trade at USD93.74 per barrel, while the price of heating oil for October rose 1.65% to trade at USD4.86 per gallon.
