Urgent: Stocks in Wall Street fall as oil prices rise and Treasury yields increase

- U.S. stocks opened lower on Thursday as higher oil prices and a wave of selling in Treasury bonds weighed on investor sentiment. Selling pressure in the fixed-income market eased slightly, especially in short-term debt instruments, but traders remained cautious. Market participants were also preparing for talks between President Donald Trump and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.
At 12:33 p.m., the benchmark S&P 500 index fell 0.4% to 7,677.08 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average for large blue-chip stocks slipped 0.2% to 51,404.55 points. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite, weighted by technology stocks, declined 0.7% to 26,748.68 points.
