The Unfeeling Truth About Anti-Human Nature in the Crypto Market:
Every single cent you lose is being paid for with “human nature” and “cognition”!
When I first entered the crypto world, like every other brand-new greenhorn, I thought “buy low and sell high” was just common sense.
But after a year, I lost over 4 million RMB. Suddenly it clicked: the crypto market isn’t a game of technology at all—it’s a hellish arena designed specifically to go against human nature. The more you think you’re making the “right” move, the more wildly you’re often going to be wrong.
Human beings are naturally inclined to “take profit and lock it in.” But in crypto, if you’re up 20% and you rush to run, you’ll never catch the later move that doubles again. Like this time—I seriously missed out.
If you’re interested, you can check the post I shared earlier.
Human beings are also naturally “afraid of highs.” When it rises 30%, they think “it’s topped,” and then they watch it climb another 3x.
People also naturally “love bottom-picking,” always thinking, “It’s fallen so much—surely it’ll bounce, right?” The result is that the harder you catch the bottom, the deeper the trap—and you end up getting cut at the absolute lowest point.
What’s even more anti-human-nature is this: the more you obsess over the candlestick chart, the easier it is to let emotions drive you. You fear missing out when it’s pumping; you fear going to zero when it dumps. You clearly planned “stop out at -10%,” but when it truly drops, you cling to the fantasy of “wait a bit—it might rebound.” In the end, what starts as a “small loss” turns into a “deep bag.” And those who truly make money do the opposite: when others panic and cut, they dare to buy; when others疯狂追高(chase the highs), they dare to sell. They can be making a lot of money and still force themselves to hold instead of selling too early; they can be down a lot and still dare to follow their stop-loss plan. Not a single one of these actions is “in line with human nature.”
Later I finally understood: in the crypto market, you don’t make money from “smart money.” You make money from “anti-human-nature money.” The more you want to feel “comfortable,” the less money you make. The more you can overcome greed, fear, and wishful thinking, the more you survive.
If you’ve also lost money in crypto, or you just entered the market, or you’re still annoyed by “can’t hold,” “chase pumps,” and “buy high and sell low,” then!
