Bitcoin (BTC) fell below $84,000 after an unexpected rebound in U.S. business activity pushed Treasury bond yields higher.
The drop occurred about an hour after the data was released. It reversed the morning rally that had taken Bitcoin above $87,000 on Binance.
S&P Global’s Global Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) is a preliminary monthly survey covering approximately 1,150 U.S. companies. A reading above 50 indicates that business activity is expanding. The September composite index rose to 58.4 from 56.0 in August.
