Phala Network I don't see Phala as a project trying to make the blockchain do everything. On the contrary, the most logical idea for me is to acknowledge that the chain has limits. Heavy computation, especially with artificial intelligence, can become an enormous burden if the network tries to do everything internally. That's where off-chain computation and TEEs come in: operations move to an off-chain environment with an isolation and protection layer. As Phala moves toward AI Agents and integration with Layer-2, I feel the project is testing a very important question: does decentralization mean that every process must happen inside the blockchain? Or could true decentralization be about knowing what should stay on-chain, and what is better moved off it?
