Tesla’s registrations in the European Union rose by 52.7% year over year in August to reach 12,547 vehicles, according to official registration data, while its market share increased from 1.2% to 1.8%. However, Chinese electric-vehicle manufacturers saw much more pronounced increases: BYD registrations jumped by 144.1%, Chery’s rose by 279.7%, and Leapmotor’s climbed by 449.9% in the EU over the same month.
