IBM has announced that its digital asset management and custody security platform, IBM Digital Asset Haven, has been formally connected to permissioned networks, including the Swift blockchain shared ledger. With a newly launched test version of the ISO 20022 message adapter, financial institutions can directly reuse standard legacy financial payment message formats and existing business processes to submit tokenized deposit transaction instructions to the Swift ledger, without needing to rebuild blockchain-specific workflows. Several institutions participating in Swift pilot projects have already completed related testing. In addition, IBM announced a localized deployment test version for Haven, enabling institutions to deploy it directly on their own data center hardware, including IBM Z and LinuxONE mainframes. By relying on IBM Crypto Express hardware security modules (HSMs) to protect private keys, institutions can manage stablecoins and tokenized assets without depending on public cloud services.
