The product is ahead of the story.
That’s what caught my attention about Daya (@Daya_HQ).
Daya is a Lagos based, stablecoin native fintech building products for business payments, cross border transactions, digital dollars, stocks, and APIs.
And there’s already serious substance behind it:
• Live products in Nigeria
• Public API
• Aptos and Sui integrations
• $2.4M pre seed funding led by Hivemind Capital
• Team experience across Circle, Microsoft and stablecoin infrastructure
But here’s the interesting part:
The public conversation around Daya is still relatively small.
That creates a potential opportunity for researchers, writers, developers, and growth contributors.
Not necessarily through an ambassador program.
Not through another “join our community” campaign.
Through proof of work.
Here are some contribution gaps worth exploring:
1. Product education
Daya has several products.
A simple map showing what each product does and who it is built for could make the ecosystem much easier to understand.
2. Cross border payment storytelling
Instead of simply saying “stablecoin payments,” show the journey:
NGN → digital dollars → supplier payment → settlement → reconciliation.
That makes the infrastructure tangible.
3. Developer onboarding
The API documentation is already available.
Someone could turn it into a practical “first Daya integration” guide for developers.
4. Gasless ≠ Free
This deserves clearer education.
Gasless transactions can remove blockchain gas from the user experience, but that doesn’t automatically mean there are no platform fees.
5. Live vs planned
Nigeria is live.
That distinction matters.
The bigger lesson?
Find a genuine gap.
Build something useful.
Publish it.
Share it with the right people.
Let the work speak before the pitch.
Sometimes the best Web3 opportunity isn’t announced.
You find it by paying attention.
What African fintech or stablecoin project are you watching that deserves more attention than it currently gets?
