Sui is a Layer-1 blockchain launched in May 2023, developed by Mysten Labs. Sui uses the Move language and an object-centric architecture, targeting applications such as DeFi, gaming, payments, and digital assets.
After more than 3 years of operation, what is noteworthy about Sui is not only the price of SUI, but also the expansion of the ecosystem.
According to DeFiLlama data at the time of writing, Sui has around $529 million in DeFi TVL, $476 million in stablecoin market cap, $36.9 million in RWA Active AUM, and approximately $405 million in DEX volume over 7 days. In the past 24 hours, data recorded around 165,000 active addresses and more than 35 million transactions. On-chain metrics change continuously, so these figures are only those at the time of writing.
What’s noteworthy is that Sui is expanding into many different fields.
In August 2026, tZERO announced its integration with Sui to support the issuance, custody, transfer, trading, and payment of managed digital securities.
In the payments sector, Daya has integrated Sui as the settlement infrastructure for cross-border stablecoin payments in Africa.
RedotPay has also integrated SUI and USDC-Sui into its system, with operations in more than 100 countries.
In the gaming space, EVE Frontier moved to the Sui Testnet in 2026 to develop blockchain features for games.
In addition, the Sui ecosystem is continuing to expand in DeFi, RWA, stablecoins, Bitcoin Finance, and tools for developers.
So what about by 2030?
No one can know exactly where the price of SUI will be, but you can build some scenarios based on market capitalization.
Assuming Sui reaches a market cap of $2.0 billion and the circulating supply at that time is nearly 10 billion SUI, the theoretical price would be around $2.
If the market cap reaches $5 billion, the theoretical price would be around $5.
If the market cap reaches $10 billion, the theoretical price would be around $10.
This is only a hypothetical calculation based on market capitalization and supply, not a certain price forecast.
In my view, what’s worth tracking from now until 2030 isn’t just the price of SUI, but also TVL, stablecoins, RWA, trading volume, number of users, developer activity, and the real-world usage level of applications on the network.
If these indicators continue to rise over several years, Sui will have more evidence to prove the long-term development of its ecosystem.
