Solana’s Alpenglow has entered the public testnet. What the market is watching first isn’t the concept—it’s its goal of compressing transaction finality time from about 13 seconds to 0.15 seconds, along with the new voting mechanism, Votor, as a replacement for the existing TowerBFT.

In terms of narrative, performance upgrades at the consensus layer would indeed reinforce SOL’s low-latency expectations for high-frequency trading, payments, and on-chain applications. However, it’s still in the testing phase—any benefits will only be realized once the subsequent mainnet activation goes smoothly.

CryptoNews notes that SOL is currently edging toward the $120 resistance level, around $119. If it can later gain volume and hold above $120, the market will continue to imagine $150. If it can’t break through, chasing the price higher becomes more likely to pull back at the resistance level. Are you more focused on the testnet progress, or the hurdle at $120?
