The US dollar returns to 101, and risk assets start to catch their breath
The U.S. Dollar Index has climbed back above 101 after two months, and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield has also broken through 5%. With both numbers lifting at the same time, the days for risk assets don’t look too good.💵

The newly released U.S. business activity data hit a five-year high, yet the market has started to re-price the Fed’s balance sheet again— the stronger the data, the farther away rate cuts become.
Bitcoin has clearly been unable to keep up these past few days, slipping from above 87,000 to around 84,000, and the U.S. stock market is also pulling back in sync.
I’m watching an old rule of thumb: the dollar and yields are the "gravity" of risk assets. Once they rise, valuations have to get pushed down.
Do you think this round of dollar strength is just short-term, or will it weigh on the market for a while?
