Bitcoin at 87,000 was tested twice but couldn’t break through; the shorts’ liquidation has mostly been digested

Bitcoin surged to $87,300 twice and got pushed back both times. This round of short liquidations has also been absorbed almost completely, and now it has pulled back to just above 84,000.📉

This pullback isn’t solely profit-taking—earlier in the rally, a lot of it came from shorts being forced to cover and getting pushed up, which is essentially “passive buying.” Once that squeeze is done, the momentum naturally eases.

But on the other side, spot ETFs have still been net inflowing these past few days. Price is falling, yet money is still coming in—two lines moving against each other.

What I’m watching is the $87,000 level: it couldn’t break through twice—does this mean the top is in the short term, or is it just changing positions before going up again?

Do you think this time it truly can’t go higher, or is it just building up strength?
