#cardano接入x402支付标准
Cardano has connected to x402, but the three stablecoins it brought in were not used at all.

▪️ The custody facilitator charges $0.001 per transaction and supports five networks

x402 is a chain-agnostic standard. Integrating into the reference SDK is a distribution advantage, not exclusivity. Masumi had already built a version on Cardano earlier, but that version was outside the official repo. This merge moved the existing one in. Code 9/9 landed, and it was only announced on 9/21.
The real threshold is at the charging gate. Cardano can pay with four types: ADA, USDM, DJED, and iUSD, but the pricing power is in the facilitator’s table—$0.001 per transaction. Based on the current average ticket size, that’s 0.31%; based on what it itself promised as “a few tenths of a cent,” that would be 20%.
Watch these three things:
① First disclosure of the facilitator’s mainnet transaction volume on the Cardano side
② Whether the x402 platform directory lists it as an active settlement network
③ Whether the average ticket price goes up or down
On the machine-payment path, in the end, who makes money—merchant acquiring, or settlement?
