Claude official record: On September 8, after a Windows update, the Cowork workspace couldn’t access the computer’s disk; local commands were affected. Most users could still chat and read/write files. At the time, the official said rebooting or reinstalling didn’t help. The issue was marked as fixed on September 14 with Microsoft’s update.
For personal project handoffs, the acceptance checklist can add three items: whether the actual commands can be completed, what the system version is, and who takes over if it fails. Also clarify in advance whether the post-upgrade re-testing is included in the maintenance fee.
