Crypto | Evening Recap | September 23

When BTC surged to 87,247, I almost chased it.

Luckily, I held back.

Honestly, the market today feels a bit suffocating. $BTC fell to 85,367, down -0.86%; $ETH dropped straight to 2,715, down 1.71%, leading the decline among major coins; $SOL 116.6 fell 0.91%, which is relatively resilient; Binance Coin 778 also dropped 1.76%. The “four brothers” all turned green in sync—so unusually consistent in rhythm. This isn’t an independent market move; it’s a broad liquidity pullback.

Let’s talk structure first. In the early session, when BTC hit 87,247, I watched the order book for five minutes: the buy-side thickness started thinning from the top. The upper wick at 87,247 is actually a clear supply zone. The result—within half an hour, it was smashed back to 85,200. A 1,700-dollar drop happened almost instantly. That’s classic fake breakout plus liquidity harvesting. Everyone who chased in today is埋(trapped)。

I want to重点 focus on $ETH . Today it’s the weakest among the majors. It fell 1.71% and directly erased yesterday’s gains. On the chart, the 2,800 psychological level has been confirmed to have flipped from support to resistance. The first support below is at the 2,700 integer and the prior low around 2,680. If the Nasdaq continues to weaken tonight, tomorrow ETH will likely test the 2,700 area again. I reduced my spot ETH position by 10% today—not because I don’t believe, but for risk control.

The logic behind $SOL is a bit different. Its decline today is the smallest, and the 116 level is holding very steadily. From the chart, SOL is currently forming a converging triangle, and it’s been ranging within 115–120 for the third day. After this kind of tight consolidation, a big move is inevitable—but I don’t dare bet on the direction, so I’m only watching SOL, not trading it.

Let me share today’s lesson: in the afternoon, when it surged to 87, I almost placed a long order—luckily my fingers were half a beat slow. Moments that look like they’re breaking out are often when the trap is deepest. The market taught me more than any candlestick-book ever could.

As for the signals from the “main force,” here are a few worth watching:
- FLOCKUSDT volume ratio 38.8x (abnormally high volume but price didn’t move much—classic behavior of the operator quietly accumulating)
- MANTRA volume ratio 20.5x (same idea)
- In the slow bull signals, UNI, and the Ethereum ecosystem’s PENDLE and KERNEL are quietly building structure
- TAKEUSDT is up 225% today, but based on historical data the fake-breakout rate is 78%—not recommended to chase

One sentence summary: Today is a day to be cautious if you have to be. When the majors are all dropping together, don’t rush to bottom-fish—wait until BTC is firmly back above 86.
