Binance describes the conversion between a share and its corresponding bStock as one-to-one and without a commission. However, the balance after the transaction may differ by a very small fraction. The reason is not a hidden fee, but different accounting precision.
Shares on the platform may be accounted for with up to nine decimal places, while bStocks support up to eight. If there is a ninth decimal digit in the position, this portion cannot be represented in the token. Any remainder beyond eight decimal places is retained by the issuer as the rounding difference. The official FAQ explicitly separates this from any commission or additional fee.
Example without market prices: Position 0.123456789 shares after tokenization may be represented as 0.12345678 bStock. The remaining fraction 0.000000009 is not included in the tokenized balance. This is an illustration of precision, not a prediction of the actual result of a specific transaction.
Before confirming, you should:
record the share balance with all available characters;
review the details in the confirmation window;
After the operation, check the history in Token Conversion and Stocks;
Don't confuse the difference in rounding with the spread of a spot transaction or a network commission for withdrawal.
For reverse conversion, you need a Stock Account and agreement with the relevant terms and conditions. The service usually works 24/7, but may temporarily stop during corporate events or technical maintenance.
