People who are now shouting that BTC will go to 100,000 are, in many cases, the same crowd that didn’t dare buy when it was at 60,000. They didn’t dare get on at the low, and once it went up, they suddenly think it can rise all the way to 100,000—without even needing a pullback in between.
Right now, even those who were previously bearish have started turning bullish, and the market is once again full of optimism. My thinking is the opposite: I plan to short on the short term, with the first target at $79,000. I’m not saying the bull market is over; I just believe that before the next leg up, we need to go through a round of pullback first.
I really wish that when it was at 60,000, everyone had the same kind of bullish confidence that they have right now.
Don’t think that the bull market is here and that everyone can get a share of the meat. In my view, only about 40% will be able to really take the biggest portion, and the remaining 60% can only get a little at best. Especially those who chased in recently above $85,000—if a pullback shows up in the next few days, many will likely not be able to hold on, and they may end up panic-selling at even lower levels.
I’m shorting because I think the price could still move down, sweeping the liquidity below. It’s not that I’m expecting the whole way down. If this pullback can make money, then I’ll take the profits and keep adding to spot positions, to accumulate more chips for the upcoming rise.
