🤖 META MUSE: THE AI THAT DOES MORE THAN ANSWER; IT TAKES ACTION

Meta is bringing to market Muse, its new personal AI intelligence agent, and the initial buzz is drawing attention.

Unlike a traditional chatbot, Muse was developed to carry out tasks on the user’s behalf: sending emails, making purchases, scheduling appointments, organizing information, and performing other actions directly on the internet.

📈 The launch has already impacted the market. Muse topped the App Store in the U.S., while Meta’s shares jumped by around 11% in a single trading session. Truist analysts estimate the product could generate up to $28.5 billion in additional revenue by 2030, if adoption and paid plans progress as expected.

🛒 The strategy is also starting to involve e-commerce. Shopify announced that it will allow Muse to use Shop Pay to complete purchases on users’ behalf. At the same time, Amazon blocked the agent’s access to its platform, saying it was not authorized to perform this kind of access.

🔐 But there’s a huge challenge: trust.

To work fully, an agent like this needs access to much more sensitive information than a conventional chatbot—email, calendars, shopping sites, and potentially financial information. The debate around Muse itself shows that security, privacy, and the ability to prevent unexpected actions will be crucial for its adoption.

🌐 The big shift might be right here: the next generation of AI won’t just be the one that talks to us. It will be the one that carries out tasks for us.

The dispute now is to find out who will manage to win something even more valuable than processing power: the user’s trust.
