In this DOT game of chess, both sides are getting confused.

In the last hour, liquidations totaled $54,000; 99.8% were long liquidations, with almost nothing on the short side. Over 24 hours, longs were liquidated by $380,000—3.8 times the $99,000 liquidated from shorts.

The funding rate hasn’t kept up with this script. On Binance, people going long are still paying extra—annualized at 6.9%. On OKX, it’s the opposite: shorts are the ones pulling money out—annualized at 10.8% giving-away. The two exchanges’ stances toward DOT are exactly the opposite.

The prices on Binance and OKX are actually aligned—both are down about 0.7%. Over the past 24 hours, the high was 1.236 and the low was 1.144. There’s no disagreement on direction, but the sentiment is talking past each other.
