According to Bloomberg, Raiffeisen Bank International will partner with broker Bitpanda to offer digital asset purchase services to approximately 18 million customers in Central and Eastern Europe, and will gradually roll it out through local subsidiaries. Bitpanda has already provided similar services to banks such as N26 in Germany. The plan was announced as one of the first major initiatives after Raiffeisen Bank International’s newly appointed CEO, Michael Hoellerer, took office. It is expected that the bank’s new strategy will be unveiled by the end of this month.
