Grayscale directly changed the “Bitcoin Miners ETF” to a “AI Compute ETF,” and the narrative pivot was very quick.

Wu said he learned that Grayscale (Grayscale) announced the launch of the Grayscale AI Compute ETF (GCPU). This ETF was renamed from the original Grayscale Bitcoin Miners ETF (Grayscale Bitcoin Miners ETF; original code: MNRS) and strategically transformed. Instead of directly investing in crypto assets, it provides exposure to the equities of publicly listed companies that supply the physical infrastructure needed to support AI development.

The highlights of this shift are clear: on one side are native compute companies, accounting for about 50% weight; on the other are Bitcoin miners that are in the process of transforming their power capacity and site facilities toward AI/HPC workloads, also about 50% weight. A bullish observation is that miners with power and data-center resources may be more easily absorbed by the new narrative. What to watch out for is that capital attention focused purely on BTC mining exposure could be diverted. Are you more focused on the GCPU’s trading volume surge, or the linkage between miners’ stocks and compute infrastructure?
