Bitcoin’s current price is $85,816—just half a point away from the 24-hour low at $85,406, like someone walking with their feet firmly on the floor. In the past 24 hours, the entire network saw liquidations totaling $285 million, with 57% from shorts. It looks like a squeeze liquidation scenario; but if you pull it back to the most recent four hours, the wind has completely turned.

In the last four hours, liquidations across the whole network totaled $45.21 million, with 84% turning into long positions. In these four hours, 98% of the money wiped out in Bitcoin was longs. Ethereum is the same—98%. Binance, OKX, and Hyperliquid were almost entirely hit on the long side. The largest single order was on Ethereum: Binance’s 490 long positions around $2,720.45 were liquidated, wiping out $1.33 million. On Bitcoin, the largest single order was Binance’s 7 long positions, worth $599,000.

Binance BTC futures contract positions shrank by 3.4% over 24 hours. Leveraged longs are withdrawing passively—not forced by funding fees, but because the price has fallen enough to force it. If you chased a long order last night, then there’s a high chance these past four hours are about paying the debt.

After this round of short-to-long liquidation, do you think it’s all cleared?
